As I watch on the sidelines of all that's going on at my alma mater as Coach Bowden retires I'm reminded of how important connections are.  Coach Bowden came to FSU by way of West Virginia, but had served earlier as an assistant at FSU before moving on as head coach at Samford. 

The years go by, and Coach Bowden builds a legacy that is virtually unrivaled in all of college football, and all along the way he built connections.  It was connections that brought in Jimbo Fisher, the "head coach in waiting".  It was connections that brought Chuck Amato back.  The list goes on and on. 

Now the rebuilding starts and just like anything else, the contacts are being worked to fill in the spots that will be open as Jimbo takes over. 

It always pays to have good, solid contacts.
